Welcome Message

Welcome to the 1st Malaysia International Clinical Psychology Conference (MICPC) 2027.

It is my great pleasure to invite you to join us for this landmark conference, which will be held from 25–27 March 2027 at Taylor’s University, Malaysia.

Organised by the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (MSCP), MICPC 2027 marks the first international conference in Malaysia led by the clinical psychology profession. While rooted in the advancement of clinical psychology, the conference is designed as a multidisciplinary platform that brings together clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors, psychologists, behavioural scientists, public health professionals, researchers, educators, students, policymakers, allied health professionals, and community partners who share a common commitment to improving mental health.

Guided by the theme, “Mental Health in Action: Bridging Science, Practice and Community,” MICPC 2027 seeks to bridge the gap between research, clinical practice, and real-world implementation. We believe that addressing today’s complex mental health challenges requires not only scientific excellence and evidence-based practice, but also meaningful collaboration across disciplines, professions, sectors, and communities.

Our scientific programme has been thoughtfully curated to provide an engaging and enriching experience, featuring internationally renowned keynote speakers, pre-conference workshops, symposia, oral and poster presentations, and valuable opportunities for professional networking. The programme covers a broad spectrum of contemporary topics, including evidence-based psychological interventions, psychotherapy, health and behavioural medicine, community and public mental health, professional practice and training, digital mental health, artificial intelligence, and emerging innovations that are shaping the future of mental health care.

Whether you are a mental health practitioner, researcher, educator, student, or policymaker, I hope MICPC 2027 will inspire new ideas, foster meaningful collaborations, and encourage the translation of research into practice for the benefit of individuals, families, and communities.

On behalf of the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology, I warmly invite you to join us in this inaugural conference as we learn from one another, build lasting partnerships, and work collectively towards advancing mental health through science, practice, and community.

I look forward to welcoming you to Kuala Lumpur in March 2027.

Dr. Jamilah
